An Elevated Work Platform (EWP) with a nominal reach of 11 metres or more requires that the
operator have Worksafe Licencing. Smaller EWP operation still requires the employer to
provide adequate information, instruction and training to their employees. EWP operation is
often the most effective method to safely work at heights. A Nationaly recognised
qualification is issued on successful completion.
This Competency covers Scissor & Vertical Lifts of any size or height.
Also covers operation of booms under 11m.
At the completion of this course, participants will be able to safely inspect and use an Elevated Work Platform. Most trades in most industries require their workers to gain access to jobs at heights.

Training is a combination of theory and practical – approx. 3 hour classroom & 3 hour practical.
On successful completion of this course, students will be issued with a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment & pocket competency card for RIHAN301E Operate Elevating Work platform. Notice of Satisfactory Assessment is issued for EWP operation. The Unique Student Identifier (USI) must be supplied and verified prior to issuance.
