Course Overview

Workplace Health & Safety (Prevention of falls) Regulations 2012 (2017 Vic) are now in effect. These regulations place obligations on employers to take preventative action if there is any likelihood of an employee being subjected to a fall risk from one level to another. Safe Working at Heights is a must for most employees in the workforce. This course covers all training requirements as detailed in the National Code of Practice – Managing the risks of Falls in the Workplace (Dec 2011)

At the completion of this course, applicants will have a clear understanding of their rights and obligations under the Prevention of falls regulations. They will be able to identify the hazards associated with falls risks & implement effective control measures.

What Will I Do on the Day?

  • Training is a combination of theory and practical — 8 hours.

What Do I Get on Completion of the Course

On successful completion of this course, students will be issued with a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights and a wallet sized card. The Unique Student Identifier (USI) must be supplied and verified prior to issuance (www.usi.gov.au)

What Do I Bring/Wear
  • Students will be required to present photo I.D on arrival.
  • Wear normal casual clothing and enclosed footwear.
  • All training materials supplied by Licence Training Australia.
Amenities
  • Students will be provided with morning tea and coffee.
  • Kitchen facilities are available to people who wish to bring their own lunch or alternatively there are cafes and lunch bars within close proximity.
