Course Content Summary

This course will enable participants to clearly understand the role of the Spotter as the safety
observer to warn mobile plant & crane operators in the proximity of powerlines & underground
assets, inclusive of communications, water, sewerage & power.

This course is recognised by Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) & the Victorian WorkSafe Authority as
meeting the requirement under Victorian Regulations for Plant Operations near overhead powerlines
& underground assets.

What do I do on the day?

Training is a combination of theory and practical. Approx 6 hours classroom and 2 hours practical.

What do I get on completion of the course

On successful completion of this course, students will be issued with a Nationally Recognised
Statement of Attainment for 22325VIC Course in Workplace Spotting for Service Assets.
Student will be sent an Energy Safe Victoria Spotters Card stating the items of plant they are permitted
to spot for. This registration will be valid for 3 years, a refresher course will then be required.
